Anastasiya Petryshak will perform in Malaga for supporting Ukrainian children

Worldwide famous Ukrainian female violinist Anastasiya Petryshak will perform works by Maurice Ravel, John Corigliano and Myroslav Skoryk accompanied by Italian pianist Lorenzo Meo. All funds from the sale of tickets will be directed for helping Ukrainian children from orphanages in Kiev region.

Charity concert organized by Ukrainian charitable organization “TulSun Foundation”.

Entry fee – 25 EUR.

Anastasiya Petryshak

Anastasiya was born in Ukraine in 1994. At the age of eight, she started performing in public, winning several competitions of national and international importance.

In 2005, she moved to Italy to continue her studies, becoming the youngest student of Maestro Salvatore Accardo at the “Walter Stauffer” Academy in Cremona for eight years.

Since 2016, she moved to Switzerland, graduated at ZHdK Academy in Zürich in the “Master Soloist” with Maestro Rudolf Koelman and affirms further her art. Her international career allows Anastasiya to play all over the world: all European countries but also beyond like United States, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, South Africa.

She performs in the most important theatres as Teatro Politeama (Palermo, Italy), Metropolitan Pavilion (New York, USA), Quirinale palace and Senate (Rome, Italy) etc., with renowned orchestras and conductors like Michael Tabachnik and Gianluigi Gelmetti.

Since 2010, Anastasiya is collaborating with Andrea Bocelli.

She has recorded her first CD “Amato Bene” with “Gli Archi dell’Orchestra dell’Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia”, playing the Stradivari “Il Toscano”, issued by Sony Classical. Anastasiya acquired an immense experience while performing with the best historical instruments (Stradivari, Amati, Guarneri) of Cremona’s “Museo del Violino” collection. She played and recorded on more than 60 of these instruments for research purpose. She had the privilege to play Paganini’s violin “Il Cannone” performing his violin concerto n.1 during a concert at Teatro Carlo Felice (Genoa, Italy).

She also dedicates herself to didactic activities, teaching at the renowned “Yamaha Music School” in Zurich (Switzerland) and regularly organizing Masterclasses.

She received the “European Personality in the Classical Music” award in 2016. Anastasiya regularly plays for world class projects like presidential state visits or “Il Grande Mistero” wanted by Pope Francis in European religious landmarks such as Sagrada Familia (Barcelona, Spain).

Lorenzo Meo

Lorenzo Meo is an Italian pianist and composer, currently living in Zurich (Switzerland).

He graduated from the Conservatoire “G.B. Martini” (Bologna, Italy) with a degree in piano, studying with Maria Grazia Noferini Babini who was a pupil of Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli. He has attended masterclasses as both a soloist and chamber musician at several important musical institutions in Italy, including the “Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia” (Rome, Italy), studying closely with interpreters like Aldo Ciccolini, Boris Bekhterev, Konstantin Bogino.

A prizewinner of several international piano competitions, he also received a Master’s Degree in chamber music at the National Academy of Santa Cecilia (Rome, Italy) with Rocco Filippini.

He made his debut concerto appearances performing the Rachmaninov 2nd Piano Concerto and Mozart’s Piano Concerto K.491 in 2002. Since then Lorenzo Meo has made several significant appearances in Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Estonia, Ukraine and USA, performing with ensembles such as the “Milano Classica” Orchestra, “Teatro Comunale” Orchestra in Bologna (Italy) and “New York Chamber Players” Orchestra, in prestigious venues such as the Auditorium Parco della Musica (Rome, Italy), Quirinale Palace (Rome, Italy), Teatro Comunale (Bologna, Italy), Teatro Comunale (Ferrara, Italy), Mystetskyi Arsenal (Kyiv, Ukraine), National Philharmonic (Lviv, Ukraine).

Actively engaged in the performance of contemporary music, Lorenzo Meo regularly premieres works written expressly for and dedicated to him. As a particularly renowned interpreter of Estonian composer Jaan Rääts, he recorded his piano works for the albums “Boundaries” (2005) and “The E.P.M. Project” (2009) and premiered his second and third piano concertos in Italy and New York (USA).

His concert-formats “Piano Soundscapes” (featuring contemporary music of different aesthetics and languages by composers from all around the world) and “Femminile Plurale” (focused on contemporary music written exclusively by women composers) are his new-music divulgative tools.

Since 2014 he regularly plays in a duo with the female violinist Anastasiya Petryshak, the repertoire ranging from the classical period to the 21st century and including pieces of contemporary music expressly dedicated to the duo.
