A third of Ukrainian teenagers did not use a condom during their first sex according to a UNICEF research. And 88% of children don’t know how HIV/AIDS is transmitted. But what do children have to know if adults don’t tell them anything about contraception or about physiology?
TulSun Foundation in partnership with Olena Pinchuk Foundation have held lectures about sex education for children from Makariv District Center of Social Support for Children and Families “Promin Nadii” and Sonechko Social Rehabilitation Center. Because the problem of teaching sex education to children deprived of parental care is particularly acute!
The qualified psychologists of the Olena Pinchuk Foundation divided the children into 3 groups before the lectures in order to provide the necessary information to each child according to age. In addition, children were able to communicate with each other, participate in games, ask psychologists questions they cared about and receive a qualified answer to their questions.
We are proud that TulSun Foundation is one of those who not only talks about the problem, but does everything possible to make it disappear!
